Blog assignment 6

A fem months ago a hade a conversation over the internet regarding teenagers that gets pregnant and what you would do if you were that teenagers parent. I think I was the only one that hade my thought about the subject.

First I would like to say that I think that every person should be responsible of their own actions. And that means that if a teenager becomes pregnant, and wants to keep the child, they are also old enough to take the consequences of one's decision. In my opinion they make a choice to become parents and all that comes with that responsibility. You have to be prepared that children costs money. And that means that the new parents hase to get jobs. They can't rely on the soon to be grandparets for economic support. They choose to become adults when they desided to keep the child, and no adult relys on their parents for money.

And a second side of this is that teenagers that sill haven't turned 18 don't know what they might be missing out on; hanging out with friends a friday night.They can't travel all over the world that many teenagers do when they graduate from school. I don't think that the grandparent should be "free daycare" when it suits the parents. I seen it with my own eyes when my sisters friend became pregnant at the age of 22. I know this young boy myself and I want to say that he hasn't been neglected once. BUT I also know that most of all the mothers friends has been babysitting when she wanted to party or hade to work.

Finaly I want to say that "older" parents also wants to have fun sometimes and I do think that grandparent and friends can be babysitters. But this should not be a recurring event. I also want to make it clear that I don't think all young parent behaves this way. Ant in fact, there are older ones that does the same thing. And they are also not ready to have a child. You did not buy a new bike, you put another person in to this life!

Blog assignment 5

To make it easy, I don't think that our democracy is going to be restricted by "Big Brother". As long as "Big Brother" themselves restrics to puplic areas. I can't remember if I have any own experiences to share but I can say that sometimes, there shuold be more surveillance in our citys. What if that could help to find murderers and other criminals. Cameras is dark and hard to see places. I don't see the problem other for people that want's to hide from the law, or something other. And those people is the ones that shouldn't be out walking in our streets! I can't see how being filmed in puplic areas is such a problem. In trains and stores you can be watch by sometimes, hundreds of people. But I think that when you become a victim of a crime. You will wish that someone, or something saw who did it. And such, be locked up in jail. (In best case senario!)



But the as I said, "Big Brother" are suppose (In my opinion) be restricted to puplic areas. Bugging should only be allowed in case of a suspicion of crime. Even though you want to be safe in your own home, it is your own obligation to make effort to feel safe. And with that, it should be legal to put up a camera in your plot.



As a conclusion, I think that this is a non-issue! As long as it works in the way I said.

Assignment 4

The schoolsystem in Sweden is always a current subject. And you can't argue against that the Swedish schoolsystem has changed the last 20 years. The new goverment want's to bring back the "old way" and have grades from the first year in school. My experience tells me that grades in the first year won't help the children to learn more.

Todays schools hase got a very importand job. They have to see every child and model them to the best they can be. Teachers follows the children from a very young age and because of that, they can recognize if some children needs more help. They can designe a syllabus for each student that shows what they need speciell help with.

A second reason is the fact that some students get very stressed when they are faced with the gradesystem. And the gradesystem it self has got lots of faults, but that is another subject. To make children that is not mature enough with the pressure that can appear in the gradesystem is a stupid idea! The grade itself will not make the children work harder and learn more.

But, as I said, the Swedish schoolsystem is not perfect, hasn't ever and will never be perfect! We can only make it as good as possible! It is a fact that there are to large classes for one theacher. It is hard to see every child and it is not certain that help from the schools for the children with speciall needs gets it. The schools dosn't have the resource to make this possible. And as many people my age says, that is was better when we went to school, and maybe it was. But we have to see what was a good school for 10, 20, 50 and 70 years ago, and of cours what is good with the system we have today. And make the best school that we can!
